How to Weave Crab from Ribbon/Coconut Leaves1.
This woven crab weave/fold from ribbon but you can use palm leaves or coconut leaves, paper, plastic strap even drinking straw !
Cut your paper to two strips 1 inch wide* 50 inches long
1. Bend one strip as shown in the picture.
2. Take another strip (B) into the loop (first strip)
3. Take B. weave under A1 ,then pass over A2
and bend it to the left.
and bend it to the left.
4. Next step, pull B to the right......
5. Still pull B to the right and bend to the left below. (green dashed line)
Placed parallel to the strip below.(A2 in picture 3,6)
6. B placed parallel above A2.
7. Take A1 over B and then through the loop.
8. Gently pull each strip to tighten the weave.
9. Finished woven crab's body
